Q: I’ve noticed the term "Region 1" in the description of the DVD’s features, what does Region 1 mean?
A: Region 1 DVD’s are meant for use in DVD Players sold in America and Canada only!
Q: What if I don’t live in America or Canada; can I still order DVD’s off of BlackSheepCinema.com?
A: Yes, unlike other retailers, we enjoy serving our International friends and offer many region free DVD’s that are compatible with most DVD players, regardless of country of origin.
Q: What are your International shipping rates?
A: BlackSheepCinema.com does ship internationally. Please click here for our current domestic and International shipping rates.
Q: What is your policy for shipping International packages? A: Please click here for our International shipping policy.
Q: Does BlackSheepCinema.com sell any used merchandise?
A: In continuing with our pledge to offer our customers as many viewing options as possible, we have added a used merchandise section to our site. You can view all of our used titles here
Q: Does BlackSheepCinema.com buy used DVD's? A: Black Sheep Cinema does purchase used DVD’s, please click here for more information on our used DVD policies.
Q: Are your movie prices the lowest on the net? A: The Internet is a very large place, and we have found a large majority of the DVD's that are in the market place are pirated, bootlegged, or prohibited copies of legitimately produced films. There is little chance that a legitimate DVD can come close to the pricing of a pirated DVD.
It is important to Black Sheep Cinema that all of our customers understand we do not sell pirated, bootlegged, or illegal DVD’s. We are not in the business of trying to compete on price with unlawful DVD sales.
Q: Are all of your DVD's of the same quality? A: No, films are created and edited by many different companies and at different times. A film that was created recently with all of the latest and greatest technology will undoubtedly have a different look to it when compared to a thirties classic. However, you can take solace in the fact that Black Sheep Cinema only offers legitimately produced DVD’s. Unlike the vast majority of bargain sellers on the Internet, we do not sell pirated, bootlegged or illegally produced DVD’s.
Q: How do you handle returns? A: In the unfortunate event that you should feel the need to return an item that you purchased from us, we want to provide you with the easiest way to return the product. If you decide within 30 days that you do not want the merchandise you purchased, you may return it for a refund or exchange as long as it is unopened and in its original packaging.
This return policy is only valid on new, unopened products; all used items that are purchased from BlackSheepCinema.com cannot be returned.
If you receive a defective DVD, please enclose a brief description of the defect and we will replace/refund it promptly upon return. Please use the return label on the reverse side of the packing slip and send it back to us via USPS Parcel Post. Please note, shipping & handling is non-refundable.
Q: Will I be compensated if you ship me a package but I never receive it?
A: If the shipping method you chose did not include insurance to cover such events then the answer is no, we will not be held responsible for lost shipments. However, if your package was insured then we will work with you and the Post Office to try and resolve the matter as quickly as possible.
Q: Will I be compensated if I receive my package from you but some or all of the contents were damaged in transit?
A: If the shipping method you chose did not include insurance to cover such events then the answer is no, we will not be held responsible for lost shipments. However, if your package was insured then we will work with you and the Post Office to try and resolve the matter as quickly as possible.
Q: Does BlackSheepCinema.com list all of the special features for each DVD?
A: BlackSheepCinema.com provides as much DVD content as possible for each title, including descriptions, and special features (subject to availability.)
Q: What is the difference between a pre-order and a backorder?
A: Orders listed as pre-orders contain DVD’s that are available for purchase, but have a release date some time in the future. Since we try to cater to a wide variety of movie titles, we tend to stay away from relying heavily on pre-order sales. However, should we offer a title for pre-order we will ship it to arrive on or about the listed release date. Orders listed as backorders contain items that are not currently in-stock. Again, we work hard to try and make sure that our backordered items are marked "out of stock", but should you see an item marked backordered we will ship as soon as inventory becomes available. An anticipated shipping date for backorders is listed on your order status page.
Q: How do I know if an item is a pre-order, in-stock or a backorder?
A: Pre-order items list a "release date" on their description page. BlackSheepCinema.com will ship this product to arrive on or about the release date.
The message "This item is currently not in stock and will ship as soon as it is available." will appear in the shopping cart for backordered items.
Q: I wanted to order a particular DVD on your website but now it is no longer listed and I don’t see any information regarding a backorder, is this title out of stock?
A: BlackSheepCinema.com lists not only the Hollywood blockbuster hits, but also those titles that are much harder to find. Because of our extremely low prices, and the ability to offer these harder to find titles, it is possible that some DVD’s on our website may become sold out and/or no longer be available from the studio. We try our best to meet all of our customers needs, but if you see a title that you are looking for do not hesitate to purchase it right away.
Q: What items can be found in the specialty category? A: The specialty category is a place where you can find everything from music to video games.
Q: Are all of the items new? A: Some items may be new and others may be used. Each item will state if it is a new item or a used item.
Q: I’ve noticed items in this category quickly go out of stock, when will you get more? A: Like most of the items on our site there is a good possibility the item may not be re-stocked at the current price for quite some time. We always recommend to our customers if you find a product you are looking for to purchase it right away. There is no telling if or when we will be able to re-stock a particular item.
Q: What are your return policies for the items in this category? A: Our return policy in the specialty category is the same as the rest of the products on our site. If the item is new it is covered under our standard return policy. If the item is used it cannot be returned.
Q: How will BlackSheepCinema.com ship my items?
A: Currently BlackSheepCinema.com only uses USPS for all of our domestic and International delivery needs. USPS offers shipments to P.O. boxes and APO/FPO boxes that private label companies cannot offer. This feature allows us to provide our customers with just one more option to receive their items in a timely fashion. We have also found USPS prices to be right in line, if not better, then the competition!
Q: What are your domestic shipping rates? A: Please click here for our domestic shipping rates.
Q: Does BlackSheepCinema.com charge sales tax?
A: BlackSheepCinema.com only charges sales tax for purchases made in the state of Nevada.
Q: Is it possible to make a payment with a method other than a credit card?
A: In our quest to provide as many different titles as possible, we run into the risk of only having a limited number of some movies in stock. It is this reason we ask that you use on online payment method to ensure that you receive the copy that you are looking for. Since we use Pay Pal as our online payment service, you do have the option of using all of their accepted payment options to fund your account.
Q: Why do you use Pay Pal to process your payments? A: By using Pay Pal as our payment processor we allow our customers to pay for their items at Black Sheep Cinema using all of the accepted methods at Pay Pal. This means you can pay for your purchases using a check, credit card, or your Pay Pal account balance. Pay Pal also allows our International friends to easily order from Black Sheep Cinema. Combine those features with the added protection of all of your financial information being placed with one single company (Pay Pal) and we feel Pay Pal as a payment processor is the best option for our customers.
Q: I added my products into the shopping cart but when I go to checkout they are gone? A: This is probably occuring because you have disabled cookies and/or javascript in your browser. This commonly happens if you have something like Norton internet security package installed and have the security level set too high. Cookies and javascript must be turned on as they are used to remember what you have added to your cart.
